Exploring The Why

I have a strong need to be understood, to be seen. By speaking or writing, I am expressing myself. It’s an intimacy that feels safe and effective, and it’s one of several great joys I experience in life.

I love the feeling of connection that comes with a successful speech or when I write. It’s the “commune” in “communicate” that thrills me.

When I have opportunity to teach others, to communicate, and to express truth, I feel like a better version of myself. I feel strong and confident, ready to take on the world!

Because of that, I place great value upon teaching.

At a basic level, I understand that you do not necessarily want to hear me. That’s not intended to be an insult. I’m one of billions of people you probably don’t know (for now). But if I can offer you something of value, then you will gladly listen (or read). So my effort to help you reveals a selfish instinct to some degree, but one which demands that I seek the best for you.

A Strong Incentive

I like to think of it as a personal incentive program, and it’s how I’ll be able to change my part of the world. I don’t succeed unless I can convey information. I can’t build audiences and convey information if I don’t speak truth when I communicate. If I cannot show you how to put that truth into practice, you’re not going to stick around.

The more I help you win, the better my life will become. That’s my “freedom lifestyle”. To help you carry out those wins, I have to learn to think of what is best for you, instead of what is best for me.

If I can help you improve your life, then I can help others too. If I can help enough people change their lives for the better, I can change my world. That’s my “why”.

I’m curious, what is yours? Why is it that you are running a business and trying to make it grow? Why are you seeking more? What do you hope to do?
